The project involves the development of an Android application for Crime Incidence Reporting that can be used by the community, barangay officer, and police officer. The importance of this study is to help the victim or a witness to prevent criminal acts from committing it again and find the justice of those who aggravate.
It will use Global Positioning System (GPS) to automatically capture the default phone location or has an option to select a certain area of the reported crime incident on the map. It will allow the user to report crime incidents and get it verified by the barangay and police officials. However, the system needs to set-up first the needed barangay and police station by assigning officials by the system administrator before the implementation of the system.
The application was developed using Java language and eXtensible Markup Language in Android Studio, Google firebase for the database, and Google Map for the location map. The application can only be used with internet or WIFI connection and can be installed and used only in Android mobile phones with KitKat and up version.
